Google Webmaster Central has announced the launch of a new channel on YouTube featuring videos that will provide webmasters with tutorials and guidance to help them improve the search engine visibility of their websites. The first video on the channel is from Matt Cutts, Google's search quality "czar." Cutts' presentation is called the "State of the Index." Cutts walks through developments introduced to the Google search engine during 2008 - quite helpful (among other things, Cutts discusses indexing Flash files, steps taken to reduce web "spam," and enhancements to Google Analytics).
