As Twitter use explodes, it's gotten tougher to wade through all the Tweets to find conversations of interest. Thus, it was inevitable that enterprising folks would roll out Twitter search tools that help you locate "Tweets" on subjects of interest to which you can reply (possibly gaining a Follower, and/or finding someone interesting to follow).
Here's a blog post by Ann Smarty at Search Engine Journal reviewing six of the top Twitter search tools, including the advanced search feature offered by Twitter itself.
Prediction: Google will snap up one of these upstarts sometime soon.
